Guam Day 63 - Golf at Talofofo + Pool Time

4/16/2022 - Joan and I always make the most of the weekends here on Guam, its great to maximize the time that she has off and explore the island in new ways. This Saturday was no different, I got an early start to meet up to play some golf at Onward Talofofo. Joan graciously helped me get ready and made some great breakfast, eggs and toast. Off I went and headed south to the course, from the pictures you can see just how different this side of the island is in hills and greenery. The course is setup in these mountains, and with this comes some steep hill changes and narrow fairways that present a tough course. We played 9 holes this morning, I really enjoy hanging out with these guys. Wilber connected me with his 3 some that needed a 4th about a month back. This was outing number 2, and I hope more to come.

After a great morning hanging with the guys, I headed back home to see what Joan was up to. Winifred came over and the two were enjoying some time together. This is perfect, a nice break for both of us guys time and girls time. Joan and Winifred had made plans to use the pool membership for the afternoon and asked if I wanted to join. Off we went to the Nikko this time. Once again if you plan to spend time here in Guam invest in the PHR club membership, the pool passes are a great way to relax on the weekends. The Nikko hotel had a nice large pool close to the beach, I think the highlight of this place was the water slide though. I haven't been down a slide since I was a kid, even better due to the clouds today there was no line.

We closed out the day by heading to Easter vigil at 9pm in Mangilao, one of Joans favorite churches. Happy Easter to all our readers from here on Guam.

  1. Happy Easter! (We had about 2 inches of snow the day after Easter! Oh the joy of life in the mitten!)
