Guam Day 108 - Tiny House Adventures + Ritidian
6/10/2022 - I don't think I have said it enough yet, its great to have my parents here, already feeling like the time is going too fast. We started with breakfast out on the patio. Fresh Guam fruits, dragonfruit, oranges and mangos, coffee, and for those capable of eating it there was fresh avocado. The patio is becoming the main place of sitting, watching the sunrise, the sunset and anything that goes by in the water is fun. This condo does bring a lot of creature comfort's we haven't had in a while.
Today had two goals, one visit the tiny house, and two head to the beach for a true Guam experience. Showing mom and dad the tiny house went a lot smoother than I thought. Its a very small place as we have talked about before, and while we love it, it does leave some things to be desired. Much to our surprise Mom and Dad were impressed with the place. Plenty of great fresh fruit growing, they met Otter and Digo and just got a sense of what a day in the life of tiny home living is like. Mom went avocado hunting, and dad and I got to take a look at the dragonfruit. Joan is such a sport for showing everything off and flexing with whatever comes.
Onto Ritidian, my parents were shocked by just how gorgeous the view is over the north side of the island. Also there was some surprise with the steepness of the hill, once again the comment of you bike this came up. :) Crushing those hills what can I say. From the photos you can tell we are just all smiles, having a blast enjoying the water and the bright sunny rays. The tide was low which made snorkeling and walking out to the edge of the reef quite easy. Even dad put on the gear and gave it a try. Greatly enjoyed the time with Joan, and mom and Dad. The day went too quick.
Dinner consisted of one of our favorites, Ban Thai. We are doing one big meal a day, with lots of snacks to get us through. Fried Rice, Thai Noodles, and Curry were shared family style. So much to eat with new flavors to share. I think this was a favorite place for the week.
Closing out the night, once again was watching the sunset over the Pacific. I can't get over those orange colors.
REALLY enjoyed the week in paradise. Best part was the quality time with Adam and Joan. They're terrific hosts and made sure everyday was an adventure. Hope you write about the really cool hike through the jungle and the farmer's market experience.
