Guam Day 27: Adam's Peanut Butter Smoothie
3/11/2022 - A product look today, Joan picked up this Adam's Peanut Butter prior to my arrival thinking it would be fun to try. We were all excited to open it after finishing off what I call only slightly adequate JIF peanut butter. I am a Skippy Fan through and through. Now having high expectations with a product with my name on it, I figured its got to be good right? Sadly, no, we were unimpressed. this PB spread has very low salt added making it better for cooking as a flavor than eating in a sandwich or well on its own. So that now makes my top to bottom list of PB spread, Skippy, Jif, and lastly Adams No Stir. You can't win them all I guess, or maybe you can. Turns out adding this to a vanilla protein shake is heavenly. Perfectly peanuty, sweet, and it takes away the grit of the protein addition. As I have stated before, we don't cook a lot of meat in the tiny house, so finding new protein sources has been key. With working out these shakes have been a nice add to help with getting back into shape. I don't think we will get Adams again, but maybe I will settle for the Jif just to make Joan happy. :)
PS - this Adams PB is not a native Guam item, its made in Orville, Ohio by the J.M. Smuckers Company. It must be easy to ship, or the military personal must love it, we see this offered at a number of stores.
Hmmm Skippy ... 🤔
ReplyDeleteAlmond butter or cashew butter are also good sources of protein in the nut- butter arena! My favorite is cashew butter by far! A little pricey, but delicious! ❤️
