Guam Day 13: Supping and a Cake

Retroactively Posted on 2/28/2022

2/25/2022: We should start off by talking about the Cake! Joan's work had a special invite for us to both come and celebrate the department heads birthday, wink wink, the birthday was on 2/5/2022 our wedding day. We are so gullible and understood this invite as an opportunity for myself to be introduced, but truly a  birthday celebration.  Joan and I have only one car, and the morning began with a need to get training completed online, a quick switch of some in person meetings came up, so I was driving her into the office. We talked about the party, but due to the schedule of the day that meant 3 trips for Adam up and down the island, drop-off, party, and pickup. So we said that Joan would attend and I would do the errands I needed to. I get a text from Joan's friend saying, will you be into the office today?, this was about 45 mins prior, I explained our predicament and said I would have to pass. Sitting here in the tiny house I get a call about an hour later with Joan calling very excitedly that the party was not a birthday celebration but a wedding celebration for us both. So the office celebrated with cake, and she brought some back to me. Embarrassing, I missed our own party!!! To add salt to the wound, the piece of cake that was left fell over in the box on the while driving home, so the picture looks very messy, but what I can say is it was the best strawberry shortcake that I have had!

Also, huge shoutout to Joan's work team. They also gave us a gift that gets us started with learning to dive! We are set for dive training in two weeks! Also a thanks to our friends and family that supported this diving adventure. We can't wait!

Friday post work, Joan and I hit the beach right after work. We realized during this excursion, between work delays, traffic on the island, and sunset at 6pm, we didnt have much time in the bay. I forgot the water proof bag, so no photos of Supping this time, but you get a since in the first picture of our setup. Mazda 3, a car pump, a 10ft inflatable board (estimate), and a wife! Getting out on the water has been my favorite part so far, the bay has picturesque blue water that you keep pinching yourself saying its real.
