Visit with the Parker Grandparents

Image
1/30/2022 - I have fallen a bit behind this week. Not quite in the swing of posting once a day but we will get better at this. Joan and I visited her grandparents today, it was really fun to see their new place and spend time together before the big day and trip. They gave us a really neat gift from the Vatican, a framed mosaic, stamped with the seal of the pope.  Thankful for the grandparents we have in our life, very special moments. Joan is so fun, she recycled the gift wrap by placing the bow on my head. Fun to come.

Italian Wedding Soup - Appropriate for the next we

1/25/2022 -  Tuesday Night Dinner - It was my turn to cook dinner at the Campau Residence. I decided to pull out a recipe that I did one time at home, Italian wedding soup. This is my new favorite. Fresh meatballs made at home, and pasta that cooks in the bowl. Joe and Pete also enjoyed. Add a Hopslam on top and it was a grandslam of dinner. For those that don't know, I have been graciously hosted by my soon to be inlaws during Covid. We have had many a fun evening just like that. Anne reminds me its day 701... and that I have been here too long (an inside joke).

Temp Check in Michigan with Mick the pup

Image
1/23/2022: So I know this next post does not carry the same excitement as the first, but I thought it was important to document our starting temp here in Michigan. At the time of this walk with Mickey, it was 18 degrees F, the low for the night is 10 degrees. We will see a huge shift as we head to the island, 90s almost everyday. I can't wait, and no that is no winter tan you seen in my face, red as can be as we walked around the park.

1/22/2022: The most exciting day of the new year! Joan returned from Guam, after 22 hours of flights we were united once again in Michigan. This is where our blog begins, Joan and I (Adam), start life together as a married couple in just two weeks, in addition we will spend the next 7 months in Guam. My goal for this site is to capture photos, thoughts and life through our eyes as to share the adventure with family and friends. Hold on tight, and check back often, we are Pacific Island bound.
